Dependability with flexibility is the requirement of any product represented by RevCon and Magnetic exceeds the standard. Their complete line of gates features a beltless drive torque motor system that brings a high level of reliability and functionality at affordable pricing. Aluminum boom arms in either straight or articulating models are available in varying lengths and heights. The gates feature high tech electronic dual channel vehicle detectors. These barrier gates are extensively used and recommended for the simplest to the most complex lane configurations. The inexpensive solution for standard installations, the ECOLINE Barrier is a classic, simple, design and equipped with many standard features. The introduction of the ECOLINE barrier enables Magnetic Autocontrol to enhance the ability to provide a complete product range regardless of how exotic the requests. ECOLINE barriers are used for projects where speed, high throughput, and intelligence are secondary and the price primary.

Possible applications:
- Guard operated installations
- Small private entries
- Access control
   - Fencing applications
- Car-parks
- Commercial applications

The barriers are built using the newest technologies and meet or exceed all available safety standards like EN, CE and UL worldwide.

Technical Description

The combination of our proven and reliable electric motor with a lever system represents a simple and extremely reliable drive solution. It permits short opening and closing times without the barrier boom bouncing in the end positions. The lever system locks the barrier boom at both end positions. In the event of a power failure, it can still be moved easily by hand. A built in spring mechanism provides a precise counterbalance for the barrier boom. The springs are factory set to the requested boom length prior to delivery. If necessary, the springs can be adjusted if the barrier boom is shortened or if signs are attached to the boom. Barriers may be changed to accommodate right or left hand operation.

The Drive Unit

The barrier is driven by a torque motor mounted on a central cast aluminum support. This support also contains the bearings for the drive shaft, the gear box and the mounting for the counterbalance springs. The torque motor is designed for alternating current. It requires neither limit switches or a friction clutch. It is maintenance-free and can be stalled in any position without the risk of damage. In the end positions the motor remains under power assisting the mechanical locking of the barrier boom via the lever system. This reduces the power consumption to minimum. This power is dissipated in the form of heat, which prevents the occurrence of condensation and corrosion. This guarantees reliable and problem-free operation, especially in cold climatic conditions. The drive units will securely lock the gate arm in the down position and will automatically open in the event of power failure (Optional).

The Housing

The housing is manufactured from 14 gauge zinc plated sheet steel with a stainless steel bottom frame, provided with a phosphate and powder coat finished for maximum protection against corrosion. Control units are mounted onto a removable zinc plated sheet steel panel. All of the components within the barrier housing are easily accessible through the maintenance door and removable top cover. Barriers may be supplied with barrier boom fitted to either the right or left hand side. In its standard configuration the maintenance access door is positioned at the front, although on request it can be any one of the other sides.

The Barrier Boom

The barrier boom is extruded from highly stable aluminum alloy to produce an octagonal profile of 4" x 2 1/8" x 1/16" and finished with a white powder coat then applied with high reflective red tape strips. Straight and articulating boom arms are available in standard and custom lengths. Booms longer than 3.5 meters (12 ft.) may require a support post. Boom length maximum is 12 feet. Articulating boom arms require additional hardware kits.

The Control Unit

The MIB35 barrier was especially designed by Magnetic to work with a variety of controllers. Using microprocessor technology Model :MLC10 & MUB3 or simplified controllers like the EBS2 to ensure a flexible, modern approach to the control techniques.
